The Live trace reading functionality is now integrated in the libtraceread library of LTTV 0.x.

It provides a basic live trace read capacity, but has some bugs lurking around.
Support for live trace reading in LTTng 2.0 is not yet available. It's currently planned for the 2.1 release. See https://bugs.lttng.org/issues/31
